Our dedicated team at the Relief Doula Agency is filled with Birth and Postpartum Doulas, Educators, Lactation Consultants, Bodyworkers, and other passionate professionals!
Relief Doula Agency has been supporting and empowering families since 2018. Based in Hampton, New Hampshire, our Agency provides support for clients from the north shore of Massachusetts through southern and seacoast New Hampshire to the southern coastline of Maine.

Our Agency has a dedicated Content Creator who collaborates with the Relief Marketing Manager to ensure effective community outreach and advertising.
Initial intake calls & sales discussions done for you!
Our agency coordinator handles the initial client intake, screening calls, and discussion of pricing/packaging
so you know exactly what the client is looking for before you interview with them.
Contracts & payments taken care of for you!
Spend more time working hands-on with your clients and less time managing payments and contracts. Our agency provides clients with support from intake through contract signing, along with flexible payment options; know the financial part of the job is already taken care of so you can focus on supporting the family
Built in backup for unexpected situations
Things happen - unexpected illness, family emergency, overlapping births, etc; working with a supportive team of Doulas provides you with the backup you need to feel confident taking on clients, without the hassle of trying to find and pay well vetted backup support.

These meetings provide a safe space to discuss and debrief on recent experience, network, build community and experience a network of collaboration.

Relief Doula Agency is a small part of what Relief Parenting Respite and Resource Center offers. As a doula, you are welcome to join in on our support groups, public events, and workshops - giving you the opportunity to meet with families in our community!
Expert Mentorship
Our Agency Founder/Owner, Krista Maltais, is an Advanced Postpartum Doula and Doula Trainer with DONA International, Advanced Lactation Consultant, and has been a doula for more than 18 years! She has mentored hundreds of doulas and works closely to support each member of the Relief Doula Agency.
Employment Model
The Relief Doula Agency hires doulas onto the team as employees so your taxes and liability insurance are taken care of for you! Direct deposit is issued bi-weekly and at the end of the year, you’ll receive a W-2 for doula work.
Relief Doula Agency Application Requirements
Please note, becoming a Relief Doula Agency Doula is a employee position. Application requirements are as followed:
Trained/Certified with a credible training program
Have flexible availability and commit to working with a minimum number of clients each month
Have reliable transportation
CPR Certification (discounts are available if taken through Relief Parenting)
Complete a background check

Krista Maltais, AdvPCD/PDT(DONA), ALC(ALPP), BS Family Studies
Founder/Owner of Relief Doula Agency
Krista Maltais is an Advanced Postpartum Doula (AdvPCD) and Certified Postpartum Doula Trainer (PDT) through DONA International and an Advanced Lactation Consultant (ALC) through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies from the University of New Hampshire and has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Great Bay College in the Early Childhood Education Department. Krista began working as a postpartum doula in 2006 and was a member of the Seacoast Doula Group for six years before co-founding the Great Bay Doulas in 2011 and then founding Relief - Parenting Respite & Resource Center in 2018.
